High Pressure Pumping and Field Services

What Rocky Range Energy Services Can Do For You

Rocky Range Energy Services operates out of Red Deer and provides high pressure pumping, fluid pumping services, and oilfield support to operators across Alberta, BC, and Saskatchewan. We run three pumping units rated to 15,000 PSI, each staffed by operators who have spent years in the field and know how to handle the work when conditions are not ideal. Whatever the job calls for, we show up with the right equipment and the right attitude.

High Pressure Fluid Pumping

Rocky Range Energy Services operates three high-capacity pumping units capable of delivering up to 15,000 PSI of pumping pressure. Whether the application calls for sustained high-pressure output or precision fluid placement, our units are configured for performance and backed by DAS recording systems for full data capture. We handle demanding jobs with experienced operators who have been doing this work for a long time.

Unit Specifications:

3000HP Frac Pump: 15K pumping pressure, 200 Ft of 1502 treating iron, Remote DAS and Pump Controls, Boost pump for stand-alone work capabilities

1000HP Twin Quintuplex: 15,000 PSI pumping pressure, 200 feet of 1502 treating iron, 2x 3 M3 mixing tanks, DAS recording system.

600HP Twin Triplex: 15,000 PSI pumping pressure, 200 feet of 1502 treating iron, 2x 3 M3 mixing tanks, DAS recording system.

Pump Downs

Our pump down services are carried out by operators who prioritize accuracy and safety on every run. We coordinate closely with on-site personnel from the moment we arrive, making sure equipment is rigged up correctly and that everyone on location understands the plan before work begins. Rocky Range operators have the field experience to recognize when something is not right and the judgment to manage complications without losing time or creating risk. Every pump down is treated as a critical operation, because that is exactly what it is. We show up prepared, we communicate clearly, and we see the job through to a clean completion.

Pressure Testing

Pressure testing before operations begin is not optional, it is how serious operators protect their assets and their crews. Rocky Range Energy Services performs pressure testing with accurate, documented results using our DAS recording systems on every unit. We understand that the integrity of this step has direct consequences for everything that follows, and we approach it accordingly. Our operators are thorough, our equipment is properly maintained, and our results are recorded in a format that gives you the documentation you need. If a test reveals a problem, we would rather find it here than later.

DFITs (Diagnostic Fracture Injection Tests)

Rocky Range runs DFITs with DAS recording systems on all units, giving operators the reliable data they need to make informed decisions about well performance and reservoir behaviour. Clean data acquisition requires patience and discipline. Rushing the process or cutting corners produces numbers that cannot be trusted. Our crew understands what is at stake and takes every stage of the DFIT seriously, from injection through the shut-in period and into the pressure falloff analysis. When you need results you can build a completion program around, Rocky Range delivers the kind of data quality that makes that possible.

Acidizing

When wellbore performance needs to be restored or improved, Rocky Range delivers acidizing programs designed to get results. We work with the operator upfront to understand the application, the formation, and what a successful outcome looks like before we configure our approach. Our operators have the experience to execute acidizing programs safely and precisely, managing pump rates and pressures in a way that protects the wellbore and maximizes the effectiveness of the treatment. The goal is the same every time: a completed job that delivers what was asked of it and sets the well up for what comes next.

Silica Dust Control

Silica dust control is a site safety requirement, and Rocky Range takes it seriously. Our AR-EDC dust suppression units are built for fracturing operations, removing 98.6% of airborne silica dust, compared to no dust control, bringing measured particulate levels down from 2.0 mg to 0.028 mg. That kind of performance keeps crews working in a safe atmosphere and reduces the burden on personnel to manage their own exposure through PPE alone. Each unit runs a 20,000 CFM vacuum system and is capable of servicing up to 6 sand hogs, with all hosing, connections, and a support trailer included. The system integrates into existing equipment without requiring any changes to your operation, and it is run by a single operator. An air shower is also included on location to remove sand from personnel before they move through the site. Multiple units are available where the scope of work calls for it. Rocky Range provides 24-hour technical assistance and deploys safe, experienced crews who know this equipment and understand what is at stake when silica exposure goes unmanaged. If your operation requires compliant dust control at the sand supply, we have the equipment and the people to handle it.

Coil Support for Pumping

Rocky Range provides pumping support for coil tubing operations, coordinating directly with coil crews to keep the overall program on schedule and running efficiently. We bring the right unit for the application and operate in a way that complements the coil program rather than creating bottlenecks. Our operators are familiar with the demands of coil support work and understand that timing and communication are as important as the pumping itself. Whether the job calls for sustained pressure support or precise fluid placement alongside the coil string, Rocky Range shows up ready to do our part and keep things moving.
